I just got back from Maine today. Geoffrey and I went for a 4 day vacation to visit Nana. It was a great little get away, and we had a great time together. Every time we do something together it brings us closer I think.
During our time there we of course went to the beach, got some root beer floats, and put together a grill for nana...but I also determined that I will be adding in wine blogs to my blogging page. I have taken 4 wine classes at RIT, and almost qualify for a minor in wines, so I will be critiquing wine and reviewing it on my blog. Something fun to add in for you readers!!
Other than that, it is getting closer and closer to having to leave for Kentucky and I can't decide whether I am nervous, excited, or what...and I know it is great, but I don't quite feel that yet. It isn't really where I want to be located, but I do like the position. I hope time will tell!

Apartment Searching
Making an apartment your home is the fun part, finding one is the hard part. I learned this last week after going to Kentucky trying to find an apartment to live in when I start my new job. Last Wednesday I had an apartment search scheduled with a company that Toyota set up for me...it was sort of an epic fail-in more ways than one.
First, when I was sent the list of apartments that the company had found they were all way over my budget that I had clearly told them a few weeks before. So I had done all of the apartment searching online, and we just visited the ones on my list. For those of you that have never gone from apartment to apartment searching and doing tours, it is long and grueling. I think that Geoffrey and I went to about 10 different complexes, and none of them seemed right.
After the day was over, I went over to my previous room mates house, and she offered me to live there while she moves to L.A for a year. I knew right away that was my best option. Even though she had told me that a few weeks before, I still wanted to find out what else was out there and to make sure that I made the right decision. I will be moving to my previous address in Kentucky, and have the whole place to myself. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity.
After all that was done, it was time for a Reds game. If you are ever in Cincinnati for a few days, and want some cheep entertainment, go to a Reds game. We bought tickets for less than $5 each!! We ended up going both nights that we were there.
After that I took Geoffrey to the hofbrauhaus to get a well deserved beer...We had a great time- except for the almost 24 hours that we spent in the car over 3 days.

Moving On
Hello to all you readers out there!
“Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” –Jim Rohn
When one starts college, they know that graduation will be about four years later, but while in school you don't expect it to come so fast, or what you're going to do after you graduate. Last Saturday I graduated from R.I.T with a degree in finance, and I can't believe how fast it went. I have a job at Toyota starting in July, but people will ask me what I am going to do, and I still don't know the answer. The world is full of open ended options, and so many things can happen and change so quickly. I can only hope that in a year from now I am happy in my job and doing what needs to be done to advance where I need to be financially, personally, and in my career.
A week ago, I was scared...I won't lie, even though I knew that I had a job but with everyone asking me questions that I didn't know the answer to, it was scary. The unknown is the most scary thing, but you have to embrace that and accept that no one knows what will happen to them in a year from now, or even a week from now. This week I am going to Kentucky to find an apartment, and figure out where I will be living in July! I still don't know if I will be there by myself, or if my boyfriend will be there but I know that I will survive and everything will work out to how it is intended to be. I am excited to start my new path in life, and embrace the change that is coming my way whether I like it or not (like student loans).
Last Saturday was the turning point in my life where I am leaving one chapter of my life and turning the page to the next. Graduation was long and painful to sit through but I DID IT! I graduated from RIT, and now am an alumni (weird to say). Most of my family was there to celebrate with me and I had a great time!! Now this Summer is full of fun and exciting things, where I can relax and have fun before I enter the workforce for the rest of my life!!!
